About Hera

Hera is a Brooklyn-based roaming restaurant founded by Chef Jay Rodriguez. Conceived as a space  for communal engagement and storytelling through the lens of food and agriculture, Hera was born out of the desire to reimagine restaurant sustainability. Since its founding in 2021, Hera’s team has conducted a number of pop-ups, restaurant takeovers, and private dinners in New York and beyond, including two extended residencies in France. As community, locality and seasonality are at the core of all things Hera, Chef Jay is committed to working closely with local artisans, craftspeople, farmers, fishmongers and foragers to offer creative vegetable-forward cuisine that is thoughtful and elevated, yet accessible.

Born to restaurateur parents, Jay brings his life-long experience and time spent working in some of New York City’s finest kitchens to the forefront, drawing boundless inspiration from his love of gardening, art, music and the beauty of the natural world.
